Aircast Knee Cryo Cuff

The Aircast Knee Cryo Cuff combines cold therapy with anatomical design to help reduce pain, swelling and inflammation following knee injuries and surgery. Designed to wrap comfortably around the entire knee joint, it delivers consistent cooling where it is needed most to support rehabilitation and recovery.

Compatible with both the Aircast Gravity Cooler and the Aircast Intermittent Compression (IC) Powered Cooler, the cuff provides effective cryotherapy for approximately 6–8 hours before the cooler needs refreshing.

How the Aircast Cryo Cuff Works

Following surgery or injury, damaged blood vessels allow fluid to collect around the knee, causing swelling, stiffness and pain. Cold therapy (cryotherapy) helps constrict blood vessels, reducing inflammation while numbing pain receptors for natural pain relief.

Unlike traditional ice packs, the Aircast Knee Cryo Cuff surrounds the knee to provide even cooling across the whole joint, helping improve comfort throughout your recovery.

Choosing Your Cooler

Gravity Cooler Uses gravity to circulate chilled water through the cuff. When the cooling effect reduces, simply raise the cooler to refill the cuff with fresh cold water.

Powered IC Cooler Automatically circulates chilled water while providing intermittent compression every 30 seconds. This gentle massage effect can help improve comfort and assist with swelling management during rehabilitation.

If you already own a Gravity Cooler, it can be upgraded by adding the Aircast IC Lid and Power Supply.

Helpful Tip

Freeze large yoghurt or food containers filled two-thirds with water instead of making ice cubes. They stay frozen much longer and keep the cooler colder without quickly diluting the water.

Please Note: The cuff itself does not provide adjustable compression. It will feel slightly snug once filled with water, while intermittent compression is only provided when using the Powered IC Cooler.

Size Guide

Measure the circumference of your thigh approximately 6 inches (15cm) above the centre of your knee.

If you are between sizes, we generally recommend choosing the Medium cuff. It offers greater adjustability while providing additional coverage around the knee.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the cuff provide compression?

No. The cuff provides cold therapy only and is not designed to tighten around the knee. Intermittent compression is available when used with the Aircast Powered IC Cooler.

How long does the cooling last?

Cold therapy typically lasts between 6 and 8 hours depending on the amount of ice used and the surrounding room temperature.

Can I buy the cuff on its own?

Yes. However, it must be connected to either an Aircast Gravity Cooler or Aircast Powered IC Cooler before it can be used.

Can I return the cuff?

Unused cuffs may be returned. Once the cuff has been filled with water it cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.

How do I keep the water colder for longer?

Using large frozen water blocks rather than loose ice cubes helps keep the cooler colder for longer and reduces the need for frequent refills.
