Thoracic and Upper Back Taping Guide & Video

This thoracic and upper back taping technique is used to reduce postural pain relating to the neck and the upper back muscles including the upper trapezius and rhomboids. This taping guide requires two kinds of tape and has three steps.  Using:

  • 3.8cm Zinc Oxide Tape
  • 5cm Fixing Tape

Step 1  Start by applying an 'X' shape towards the top of the back.

Step 2 Add an 'I' down into the middles of the 'X'

Step 3 Finish by applying the zinc oxide over the top of the 'X', applying a stretch downwards on each piece.

Alternatively a video tutorial is available.
